About me - Dan Sacks

I am a clinical psychologist currently practicing in israel. My clinical training is grounded in short term therapies, mainly second and third wave CBT (ACT, DBT etc.), as well as Motivational Interviewing and common factors therapy interventions. Over the past few years i have been an active member in the International Deliberate Practice Society, serving as a board member and working as a certified Deliberate Practice supervisor.

I am also currently conducting research at Ben-Gurion University on the subject of skill acquisition in psychotherapy, with the goal of validating an objective measure for therpay skill acquisition. With such a measure, we will be able to greatly improve training processes in all career stages.

I love enhancing my skills, from guitar to football (soccer if you are on the other side of the atlantic!) and more than anything - iā€™m passionate about improving our patients wellbeing. it is my deep belief that our gerenations great improvemnt in treatment quality will come not from a change in method but from an enhancement in practitioner skills.

I created the psychotherapytrainer.com to achieve this goal and give you the best tools available to improve your therapy skill set, no matter what your level. I hope you find it useful, and if you do, share it with colleagues and friends.
